Something to Ponder

2 Corinthians 5:21 (TLB) For God took the sinless Christ and poured into Him our sins. Then, in exchange, He poured God's goodness into us!

No matter how hard you've tried to do the right thing, you haven't always succeeded. Jesus took the blame for our sins and He gives us the credit for His goodness. What a deal! Have you accepted God's goodness? Why or why not?

Today Is the First Day of the Best Days of My Life

Scriptures:
This is the day that the Lord has made, I WILL rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Affirmation:
I will not be anxious about tomorrow. GOD WILL take care of my tomorrow. I live one day at a time and in faith.

Many things about tomorrow I don’t seem to understand; but I know who holds tomorrow (my future), and I know who holds my hand, so I look forwarded to the blessing of today and await my blessings for tomorrow.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Hallowed Be Thy Name

Adoration: "Hallowed Be Thy Name"

The Lord's prayer contains the phrase, "Hallowed be Your name," but what does hallowed mean? The American Heritage Dictionary defines hallowed as, "sanctified; consecrated; highly venerated; sacrosanct," like the hallowed halls of a great university. To hallow is "to make or set apart as holy. To respect or honor greatly; revere." In simpler terms, we often use hallowed to refer to someone whom we should treat with awe and respect because they deserve it.

Our Father which art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name.

Bless the Lord O my soul: and all that is within me, bless Your holy name. I adore You and make known to You my adoration and love this day.

I bless Your name, Elohim, the Creator of heaven and earth, Who was in the beginning. It is You Who made me, and You have crowned me with glory and honor. you are the God of might and strength. Hallowed be Thy name!

I bless Your name, El Shaddai, The God Almighty of blessings. You are the Breasty One Who nourishes and supplies. You are all-bountiful and all-sufficient. Hallowed be Thy name!

I bless Your name, Adonai, my Lord and my Master. You are Jehovah -- the Completely Self Existing One, always present, revealed in Jesus, Who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hallowed be Thy name!

I bless Your name, Jehovah-Jireh, the One Who sees my needs and provides for them. Hallowed be Thy name!

I bless Your name, Jehovah-Rapha, my Healer and the One Who makes bitter experiences sweet. You sent Your Word and healed me. You forgive all my iniquities and You healed all my diseases. Hallowed be Thy name!

I bless Your name, Jehovah-M'Kaddesh, the Lord my Sanctifier. You have set me apart for Yourself. Hallowed be Thy name!

I bless Your name, Jehovah-Nissi, You are my Victory, my Banner, and my Standard. Your banner over me is love. When the enemy comes in like a flood, You life up a standard against him. Hallowed be Thy name!

I bless Your name, Jehovah-Shalom, You are my Peace -- the peace that transcends all understanding, which garrisons and mounts guards over my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Hallowed be Thy name!

I bless Your name, Jehovah-Tsidkenu, my Righteousness. Thank You for becoming sin for me that I might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Hallowed be Thy name!

I bless Your name, Jehovah-Rohi, You are my Shepherd, and I shall not want for any good or beneficial thing. Hallowed be Thy name!

Hallelujah to Jehovah-Shammah, the one Who will never leave or forsake me. You are always there. I take comfort and am encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper, I will not be seized with alarm -- I will not fear or dread or be terrified. what can man do to me? Hallowed be Thy name!

I worship and adore You, El-Elyon, the Most High God, Who is the First Cause of everything, the Possessor of the heavens and earth. You are the everlasting God, the great God, the living God, the merciful God, the faithful God, the mighty God. You are Truth, Justice, Righteousness, and Perfection. you are El Elyon -- the Highest Sovereign of the heavens and the earth. Hallowed be Thy name!

Father, you have exalted above all else Your name and Your Word, You have magnified Your Word above all Your name! The Word is made flesh and dwells among us, and His name is Jesus! Hallowed be Thy name!
In Jesus name, Amen.

Today

No matter what may be going on in your life, speak words that uplift and encourage those around you and wherever you may go.

There is a quote that says, "Be kinder than necessary, you never know what battles someone is fighting."

Today outside my window, a new day I see,
and only I can determine what kind of day it will be.

It can be busy and sunny,
laughing and gay, or boring and cold,
unhappy and gray.

My own state of mind is the determining key,
you see I am the person I let myself be.

I can be thoughtful and do all I can to help,
or be selfish and think only of myself.

I can enjoy what I do and make it seem fun,
or gripe and complain and make it hard on someone.

I can be patient with those who may not understand,
or belittle and hurt them as much as I can.

But, I have faith in God,
and believe when I say,
I personally intend to make the best of my day.

Through the Valley

This is the day that the Lord has made. In spite of what it looks like, REJOICE and be glad in it!!!!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Psalms 23:4

The psalmist David walked through the valley of the shadow of death and had no fear or concerns because he knew that the Lord was his Shepherd. We also must walk through our situations and circumstances in this life. Remember, we are just passing through.

When you feel that your situation won't change, seek the Lord and He will guide you through. You are not alone in this desolate place. God is with you. Cast your cares upon Him and He will give you His peace while in the midst of the valley. Remember, you are just passing through.

Just as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were in the fiery furnace, God was with them and protected them in the midst of the fire and He will do the same for you. God's Word says, " I will never leave you nor forsake you." So we can boldly say the Lord is my helper; I will not fear.

There is Power in Your Praise

Have you ever observed what happens when God's children begin to worship and praise Him?

Let me just say, "Oh yes, "There is power in your praise!"

Praising God is not just for Sunday mornings or that occasional gospel concert. Praise should be apart of our daily lifestyle. When you awake, while in the shower, in your home, in your car, at work, anywhere and anytime.

" I will bless the Lord at all times and His praise shall continually be in my mouth."

In the book of Acts we hear the story of Paul and Silas being cruelly beaten and unjustly imprisoned for calling out a spirit of divination in a young girl, who was a fortune teller. Besides the trauma of the beating, their arms and legs were clamped together in a immobile position which caused cramps and loss of circulation, and they where in a dark and cold dungeon.

Can you imagine enduring such pain and inhuman conditions? Yet in spite of the dilemma they faced, Paul and Silas began to pray and praise God. They knew how to release the most effective spiritual weapon that would allow them to enter into His presence and power.

Through their praise and worship, they were lifted into the presence and peace of God, which provide a gateway for God's power to move in their circumstance.

Psalm 22:3 says, that God inhabits ( dwells, lives, within) the praises of His people. Meaning that He is in the atmosphere of His praise. Praise is a vehicle of faith which brings us into the presence and power of God. Realistically, praise and worship is the "Get in Free" card that allows us to enter into the sacredness of His glory.

There is power in your praise!

Since praise manifests God's presence, we also realize that praise repels the presence of the enemy. An atmosphere which is filled with praise and worship is disgusting to the devil. He fears the authority of the name Jesus, and has to flee.

When the children of Judah were outnumbered by the armies of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, King Jehoshophat and all the people sought the Lord for help. The Lord assured them that this battles was not theirs but His. So they rose early in the morning, an Judah being the people of "praise" began to sing and praise the beauty of His holiness, and the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.

There is power in your praise!

When God's children begin to praise and worship Him with our hearts it sends the enemy running!! God's presence responds when we praise and worship Him, it evokes His presence and power to flow in our midst.

I encourage you today, to become a person of praise and you will experience the power through your praise.
